Koh Samui, Thailand daily weather update; 4th November, 2016

Today's weather;

It's mostly cloudy over Koh Samui this early morning and it looks rather dark with rain being in the air although at the moment it's dry but rain is expected later today. Current temp at 7am is 27C

On Kata on Phuket the sky is also covered in clouds and it's dry although I won't be surprised if we get some rain later today. Current temp at 7am is 27.1C

A Yak at Big Buddha. Yakshas (ยักษ์ or Yak) are an important element in Thai temple art and architecture. They are common as guardians of the gates in Buddhist temples throughout the country since at least the 14th century. They are mostly depicted with a characteristic face, having big round bulging eyes and protruding fangs, as well as a green complexion.

Yesterday saw a bit of a mixed bag all day long around Koh Samui, it started out in a lovely way with fairly blue skies and sunshine but this was soon followed by rain. This in turn was followed again by a partially clouded sky and once more this was followed by rain during the late afternoon. Max temp reached 32C

Here I was, doing some late night shopping at Villa Market in Chalong on Phuket and there he was; a mobile barber outside in the parking lot, snipping away at some guys head, getting his hair in shape again. How convenient can life get?

The forecast predicts light rain for a couple of days with shortly after the weekend an easing up on the rain and possibly some sunhsine coming back into the mix. Showers remain a steady option throughout the next ten days though, although not non stop rainy days are predicted like during a full on monsoon or rainy season period.
